The City of Dover Police Department is seeking an individual to perform highly responsible enforcement of the parking laws of the State of New Hampshire and Ordinances of the City of Dover as they pertain to the parking of motor vehicles on public ways. Primary span of enforcement will be the downtown Dover area but duties may include City-wide enforcement. This position will be a PART TIME position; 12-20 hours/week depending on the candidate’s needs. $19.68 to $28.44 per hour. The position could also be taken as PER DIEM, which allows for a more flexible schedule during the year. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Parking Enforcement Officer I: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the knowledge and skills listed in the class specification. Parking Enforcement Officer II: (In addition to above qualifications for Parking Enforcement Officer I) One (1) year of experience in a law enforcement or public safety agency performing parking enforcement and related non-sworn field law enforcement support.
