We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual to join our client as an HR/ Payroll AssistantThis dual-role position provides support across both Human Resources and Finance functions, helping to ensure the efficient running of processes related to employee relations, accounting, and general administrative tasks. Proven experience with Sage Payroll is essential, and familiarity with Xero Accounting and Payspace will be considered an advantage.
Human Resources Duties
- Maintainand update employee records, files, and HR databases in line withlegislative requirements.
- Handlegeneral HR-related queries from employees and provide guidance on HRpolicies and procedures.
- Coordinaterecruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Administeremployee benefits and manage leave records and tracking.
- Coordinatetraining sessions and compile compliance-related documentation.
- Supportperformance review and appraisal cycles.
- PrepareHR-related reports, letters, contracts, and notices as required.
- Ensureconfidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all HR matters.
Payroll Duties
- Processmonthly payroll accurately and timeously using Sage Business CloudPayroll.
- Capturenew employees, terminations, salary changes, and allowances/deductions.
- Manageleave, overtime, and other payroll inputs.
- Ensurecompliance with payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Assistwith payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintainpayroll records and supporting documentation.
- Minimumof 2 years' experience using Sage Business Cloud PayrollProfessional .
- Provenexperience in HR administration and payroll processing .
- Strongunderstanding of employment legislation and payroll compliance.
- Excellentorganisational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Professionalcommunication and interpersonal skills.
