Join our I&J Primary Processing Site, Woodstock, Cape Town and play a key role in assisting the leadership of the HR team by driving the administrative Human Resources process, workflows and reporting and providing generalist human resources services and advice to the business.
Reporting Structure- Reports to Human Resources Manager
- Coordinate payroll workflows, including recruitment, terminations, and employee changes.
- Oversee leave management for all employees.
- Review overtime, allowances and payroll variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate HR records for all processes.
- Prepare employment documentation, including contracts and letters.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Prepare and deliver HR reports and analytics to management and statutory institutions.
- Support audits and assist resolving findings.
- Advise and coordinate the employee relations matters and ensure they are in line with company policy and labour legislation (performance, discipline, grievances and employee wellbeing).
- Prepare CCMA documentation and represent the company at the CCMA.
- Promote clear communication and understanding of HR policies across the business.
- Investigate employee relations matters, including whistle blower reports.
- Support and monitor performance management processes like reviews, appraisals and goal setting.
- Advise managers on performance improvement and poor performance cases.
- Assist with job grading and salary benchmarking.
- Manage recruitment processes in line with EE and company policies.
- Partner with hiring managers on job profiling, shortlisting and interviews.
- Oversee onboarding and ensure completion of all employment documentation and induction processes.
- Support talent identification, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
- Drive alignment with BBBEE Skills Development targets.
- Administer annual salary increases, bonuses and headcount budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with payroll and leadership to ensure accurate and approved compensation processes.
- Minimum 5 years' HR generalist experience in a corporate environment
- Sound experience representing the company at the CCMA
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Completed Bachelor's Degree within an HR discipline
- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Relations practices and Labour Legislation
- Understanding and experience in HR disciplines and interviewing skills
- Working experience on SAP and BesTime
