Senior Associate - Public Interest Litigation

Associate. Based in: Parktown, JHB. A dynamic public interest law firm specialising in constitutional law, administration law, land rights, occupational health and safety matters and class actions are inviting applications from suitably qualified associate attorneys to join the firm in its class action practice.

• Manage and review complex discovery documents and processes
• Consult with clients and liaise with counsel
• Coordinate and plan large-scale litigation matters
• Draft legal submissions and opinions
• Administer and manage client files
• Engage with governmental and private institutions on behalf of clients
• Monitor case progress including fieldwork coordination
• Prepare client damages reports and expert reports
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Liaise with media where required

• Admitted Attorney with minimum 3 to 6 years post-admission experience
• Practical litigation experience
• Strong computer literacy
