Permanent - Learning and Development Practitioner - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Reporting to the Organisational Development & Learning Manager.

Job Purpose

To provide an effective learning and development service to the organisation through the implementation of relevant initiatives such as learnerships and apprenticeships.

Job Function

Skills Development:

  • Provide support and advise for skills matrices/development plans as required.
  • Align the personal development of staff to organisational strategies.
  • Identify appropriate and cost effective training solutions to meet skills demands for the organisation.
  • Administer skills development plans and reports (WSP/ATR) as required by the SETA.
  • Record administrative information and statistics for plans and reports.
  • Manage SETA grants and report to stakeholders.

External Bursary and Work Integrated Learning Management:

  • Form and manage relationships with institutions for easy access to potential students and graduates.
  • Manage the recruitment, selection and placement of WIL and vacation students.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with students.

Apprenticeships and Learnerships Management:

  • Coordinate learnerships/apprenticeships for the Company as per policy and legislation.
  • Track work of providers/suppliers and report any deviations.
  • Meet with learners and mentors to discuss progress and concerns and report to stakeholders.
  • Administer the training tracking tool and update monthly.

Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with SETA, QCTO, ISO, and B BBEE requirements related to learning and skills development.
  • Support internal and external audits and strive to maintain a minimum 90% audit rating.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across the LMS and all learning records.
  • Monitor learning and development processes and recommend continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.

Facilitation:

  • Facilitate learning programmes for specific internal training and provide content input and feedback.
  • Assess training needs and make suggestions to support employee and organisational development.
  • Develop training content as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' job related experience ODETDP or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).
  • Proven experience in SETA annual submissions and reporting.
  • Experience in managing learnership programmes.
