Office Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Seeking an Administrative Assistant who works directly with the building administration. The workday is 6 hours with holidays off (and paid) with no workdays over winter and spring breaks and June and July. The position is available effective August 1.
Qualifications- Excellent computer and typing skills with a strong background with all Google platforms
- Ability to operate general office equipment and business machines
- Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Must possess language skills including composition, punctuation, spelling, and an ability to draft routine correspondence
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding school, student and personnel matters
- Must be able to respond sensitively to questions and complaints from students, parents, staff, and the public and present an overall positive first impression for visitors to Rhodes School
The salary will be based on past experience in a role as an assistant and/or work in the school setting but the starting pay will be no less than $17 per hour. 100% of the premiums are covered for single medical insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and single dental insurance as well as a significant portion is paid towards additional medical insurance coverage for spouse, child, or family. Benefits also include sick and personal days as well as holiday pay.
