Job Description
The core function of this role is to support the digital director to oversee the digital strategy and help implement across key countries (South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Ivory Coast).
This role will assist with job functions that are specific to Process and Content Distribution and analytics.
Process- Help lead implementation of digital tools, processes and systems as needed to advance SSC objectives.
- Provide marketing teams with monthly reporting updates, including brief analysis on delivery, clicks, conversions, and trends.
- Research new online media opportunities and industry updates; set up in person meetings when relevant, deliver monthly content to countries, track and record activations by country to quantify ROI.
- On going collaboration with the agency to create and distribute monthly social content.
- Develop engaging education materials around digital education to further the knowledge of stylists and consumers.
- Update the website and blog with key launches and articles to drive SSC superiority in haircare.
- Maintain relationships with identified key bloggers and stylists for year long content.
- Be primarily responsible for developing, posting and growing the Dark and Lovely Africa Instagram community.
- Support in the pan African digital initiatives, e.g. Golden Scissors.
- Support the development of key relationships in the marketplace with partners and vendors in Sub Saharan Africa.
- Create all digital media insertion orders and DED in a timely, organized fashion.
- Update and distribute SSC Digital Dashboard, complete with competitive activity.
- Collaborate with digital agencies and internal team members to develop clear business and measurement objectives for each initiative.
- Share internal best practices and case studies.
- Collaborate with the CMI division on digital research.
- Previous digital experience; basic media knowledge of digital marketing tools (social, search, website/blog creation, email marketing, mobile).
- Particular proficiency with Google or Facebook analytics a big plus.
- Graphic design skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collect data, analyze trends, identify strategic recommendations and present them in a logical manner.
- Ability to translate data into well articulated ideas.
- Ability to prioritize and multi task.
- Social media marketing experience a strong plus.
- Must be a detailed oriented quick learner with strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively work independently and troubleshoot any issue.
