# Junior Debtors Clerk Job Category: Accounts Finance Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Glenwood ABOUT THIS ROLE Are you an organised and detail-oriented accounts professional with strong debtors experience and a passion for accuracy?A well-established Durban-based organisation is seeking a Junior Debtors Clerk to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone with solid debtors and general accounts experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers, administration, and client account management.You will play a key role in supporting the debtors function through invoicing, payment follow-ups, account administration, and maintaining accurate financial records. WHAT YOU WILL DO Prepare, raise, and amend agency invoices accurately and timeously Check vessel sailed lists and draft/send PDA's Ensure all required invoices are included in account files before drafting Update PDA tracking lists with completed PDA's, payments received, and outstanding balances Follow up on outstanding PDA payments Email monthly statements to clients Upload DA's onto various platforms Prepare and email FDA's Respond to account-related email queries professionally and efficiently Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining accounts documentation Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to company procedures Work closely with the finance team to meet deadlines and support daily operations WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Strong debtors experience essential Good all-round accounts experience Matric required Related tertiary qualification advantageous Experience working on Pastel (non-negotiable) Strong numerical and reconciliation skills Good computer literacy, including Excel Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational and administrative skills High attention to detail and accuracy Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism If you are looking to grow your finance career within a stable and professional environment, we'd love to hear from you Apply Now!
