Job Summary

The Human Resources Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR functions, ensuring efficient and compliant HR processes across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing HR systems, managing employee lifecycle operations, and supporting strategic HR initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

Duties/Responsibilities HR Operations Management
  • Oversee daily HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HR systems.
  • Ensure all HR processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures.
Employee Relations & Retention
  • Oversee employee relations.
  • Assist managers in progressive employee discipline.
  • Manage employee communications via email, phone, etc.
  • Increase employee retention through engagement activities.
  • Develop wage scales and merit increase policies.
HR Systems & Data Management
  • Manage and optimize HRIS, employee engagement, and other HR technologies.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports to support business decisions.
Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Oversee onboarding, performance management processes, and offboarding.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure a seamless employee experience.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and maintain documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Manage HR-related risk and support investigations when necessary.
Process Improvement & Strategy
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, engagement, and retention programs.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor HR specialists.
  • Backup HR specialists during vacancies, PTO, and periods of high onboarding volumes.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance management for the HR operations team.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of HR generalist or business partner experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paychex).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • HR certification (SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
  • Experience in process improvement or project management.
  • Background in scaling HR operations in a growing organization.
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to travel between locations as needed.
