HR Internship
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Graduate for a 12-month Internship based in Woodstock. This opportunity will expose you to all aspects of HR to gain valuable experience while being supported by the HR team.
Working closely with the HR team, you will support the team with general HR administration and Payroll processes.
Day-to-day Operations- New hire registration, prepare basic HR letters, minute taking and transcribing for meetings.
- Update and maintain employee records.
- Assist in coordinating all probation and monthly check ins with new hires.
- Assist the team with all IOD and IR processes with documentation, scheduling, updating of information and assisting the team with disciplinary procedures.
- Assist with recruitment activities such as upkeep of the Application Tracking System, screening CVs, liaising between candidates and hiring managers for interviews, background verification checks.
- Assist with the team with the onboarding/offboarding process which includes drafting of employment contracts, gathering new starter data, ensuring first day readiness, induction coordination, new joiner communication and exit interviews.
- Assist in coordinating monthly onboarding programs for all new hires in the group.
- Assisting the HR team with compiling accurate payroll information on a monthly basis.
- Assist in submissions of ad-hoc legislative administration and requirements such as Employment Equity and Skills Development.
- Assist in planning and coordinating internal and external events i.e team building and socials.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, interventions, and tasks from time to time.
- National Diploma/Degree in HR Management.
- Computer Literate (Ms Office).
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail are essential.
- Must be able to communicate well on all levels.
- Great administration skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Able to function in an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
- Available immediately.
- Not currently any SETA programmes.
