Job Description
The purpose of a Sage X3 Business consultant role is to plan, design, develop, launch and support efficient information and operations systems in support of core organizational functions for clients. Using both business and technical skills. The role will also support the development and growth of the B/U by identifying and developing opportunities within the existing customer base and new customers.

Operational- Provide an elevated level of consulting and implementation services at client sites.
- Develop subject matter expertise on Sage X3 product and serve as escalation point for any implementation issues.
- Apply technical and business knowledge to analyse client requirements and match them to system functionality.
- Perform gap analysis, identify options and make recommendations on best methods to address gaps including customisations, third party products, process changes and/or other industry best practices.
- Identify problems, software specification and/or design, implementation, documentation, testing, client training and solution deployment adhering to Sage's Methodology.
- Conduct analysis of client business processes and requirements.
- Prepare appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
- Analyses the data, evaluates existing application products, and recommends efficient, cost effective solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
- Document requirements, workflow, and system specifications.
- Ensure optimal set up and training in the products for each client and maximise consulting revenue whilst maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction.
- Deliver project based consulting activities, through the entire project lifecycle, on ad hoc and medium to long term engagements.
- Comply with financial responsibilities which include project cost estimating and proposal generation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet and/or exceed client expectations.
- Participate in sales and proposal presentations if required.
- Responsible for achieving defined utilisation and revenue goals.
- Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organisation and grow into new customers / markets.
- Interact with company and client managers on cost/schedule monitoring.
- Manage and support relationships and installed products at existing clients. This includes handling questions, solving problems, writing reports, performing upgrades, and ensuring client satisfaction with the software and the company.

- Strong knowledge in finance, manufacturing, inventory and distribution business processes and practices.
- Excellent client facing and internal communication skills.
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximise the benefit of IT systems investments.
- 3 - 6 years of professional work experience in ERP systems, as a consultant.
- Certification in Sage X3 ER.
- Degree level education in one of the following:
- Information Systems / Information Technology
- Accounting / Finance
- Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain
- Business Management
