NorthwoodSchool is a leading boys' school with a strong commitment to academic excellence and holistic education. Our Cambridge Academy continues to grow, and we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry teacher to contribute meaningfully to this programme.
Commencement Date: January 2027
The role:- Teaching Cambridge IGCSE, AS and/or A-Level Chemistry. The role will also include teaching CAPS Physical Science.
- Contributing to the continued development of the Cambridge Science offering.
- Creating a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment.
- Supporting the academic progress and wellbeing of boys in a high-performance setting.
- Participating in the broader life of the school, including extramural activities.
- An appropriate academic qualification (BSc in Chemistry or similar).
- A recognised professional teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Cambridge Chemistry and/or CAPS/IEB Grade 12 Physical Science.
- A sound understanding of inquiry-based and practical science teaching.
- The ability to prepare and lead practical experiments.
- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
