PurposeThe person in this role will support the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) by providing independent, thorough change analysis for each Initiative raised through the PMO gated process. The Change Analyst will assess change complexity, readiness and adoption risks; define the people, process, technology and operating model impacts; and specify the minimum change management activities required for successful implementation and benefits realisation. The role provides structured, evidence-based input to Portfolio/Programme/Project Managers and business change representatives, ensuring change requirements are understood, planned for, costed where relevant, and embedded into delivery plans and governance artefacts. Through consistent application of the Change Navigation approach, the role helps maximise adoption and minimise resistance, enabling sustainable outcomes, improved value realisation and ROI.
Stakeholders- EPMO / PMO leadership, Portfolio Management and governance forums (e.g., stage gates, steering committees)
- Programme and Project Managers (internal and service provider delivery teams)
- Business Owners / Sponsors, Change Sponsors and impacted Business Units/Divisions
- Technology, Operations and Risk/Compliance stakeholders (incl. Security, Data, Architecture and Service Management where applicable)
- Executive Management and Steering Committees (for decision support, readiness and adoption risk escalation)
- Internal enabling functions (e.g., Procurement, Finance and Legal) for sourcing and contracting change management vendor support
- External stakeholders as required by the Initiative (e.g., clients, regulators, auditors, consultants)
- Conduct Change Needs Analysis for each Initiative raised through the PMO gated process, including scope clarity, change drivers, affected populations, and change complexity.
- Assess change impacts across people, process, technology, data, controls and operating model; identify readiness gaps, adoption risks and dependencies (e.g., training, comms, policy updates, BAU handover).
- Define the recommended change approach and minimum change deliverables per Initiative (e.g., stakeholder map, comms plan, training plan, readiness plan, resistance management, benefits adoption activities).
- Where required, develop scopes of work for change management vendor support and follow the PayInc Procurement process to source, evaluate and contract service providers, ensuring deliverables, measures of success, and governance expectations are clearly defined.
- Provide SME input and quality assurance to Portfolio/Programme/Project plans and stage gate packs, ensuring change impacts, readiness and adoption risks are addressed and clearly articulated for governance decision-making.
- Coach and support Business Owners and leaders in their sponsor responsibilities, including stakeholder alignment, messaging and reinforcement to embed change into BAU.
- Bachelor's degree (e.g., Business, Psychology, HR, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or related)
- Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent) and strong understanding of change impact assessment and readiness practices
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and comfortable working within standard templates and governance artefacts
- Strong analytical writing and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesise inputs into clear recommendations for stage gate decisions
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in change management / change enablement roles, including change impact assessments and readiness planning
- Experience in Payments and Banking (or similarly regulated environments) will be an advantage
- Experience supporting project/programme delivery through governance structures (e.g., stage gates, steering committees), producing concise change inputs for decision-making
- Proven facilitation capability (workshops, interviews, focus groups) across multiple stakeholder levels, including senior leadership
- Strong knowledge of change principles, methodologies and tools; able to tailor change approaches to initiative complexity and delivery context
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear change recommendations, comms content and executive-ready summaries
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with active listening to accurately interpret stakeholder needs and impacts
- Strategic and systems thinking, linking change activity to benefits realisation, operational sustainability and customer/industry outcomes
