Solution Analyst
Job Description
A Solution Analyst is responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing IT systems to meet business needs.
They act as a bridge between business users and IT teams, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Requirements Analysis & Business Needs Assessment- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in system functional requirements.
- Identify and document system gaps.
- Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Translate business requirements into functional Salesforce requirements.
- Draft Technical/Functional specifications (FRS, BSS, Use Cases) outlining design and implementation.
- Align functional requirements with out of the box Salesforce configuration utilities such as standard/custom objects, field mappings, workflows, validation rules and automation (Process Builder, Flow).
- Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for product capabilities and solutions.
- Perform gap analysis and document current (as is) and future (to be) processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, developers, and architects to design IT product solutions.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
- Provide input on system architecture and integration with existing technologies.
- Define clear functional acceptance criteria and support system testing.
- Assist end users during UAT cycles to ensure understanding of system capabilities.
- Identify, document, and track system defects and performance issues.
- Work with QA teams to ensure functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Assist in system deployment, upgrades, and configuration.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for IT systems.
- Develop technical documentation including user guides and manuals.
- Work closely with business users, IT teams, and third party vendors.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather feedback and refine solutions.
- Conduct walkthroughs and demo sessions to confirm system functionality aligns with business needs.
- Ensure IT solutions adhere to industry security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with system implementations.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enhance system security.
- Analyze system data and generate reports for performance monitoring.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and management processes.
- Provide insights from analytics to support business decision making.
- Technical & Analytical Thinking - Ability to assess system requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Business Process Understanding - Knowledge of business workflows and how they interact with IT systems.
- Integration & Database Knowledge - Familiarity with APIs (XML, JSON) and SQL.
- Communication & Collaboration - Ability to work with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Project Management - Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Attention to Detail - Accuracy in analysis, design documentation, testing, and implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in system analysis, design, software development, or system integration.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, App Builder, Platform Developer I, Sales Cloud or Service Cloud are advantageous.
- Experience in financial services (banking, credit, insurance) is beneficial.
