The Service Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting the maintenance and operations management of multiple wind farm facilities. This role ensures minimal disruption to operations through optimal resource utilization, efficient scheduling, and strict adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling- Service Schedules: Produce efficient, reliable, and cost-effective schedules to meet contractual obligations and customer needs.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate activities across various wind farms to ensure effectiveness regarding tooling, manpower, and materials.
- Prioritisation: Develop and manage weekly and daily maintenance schedules, prioritising preventative maintenance and urgent tasks.
- Data Analysis: Provide monthly reports featuring analytical data on maintenance metrics, costs, and asset performance.
- Key Metrics: Monitor wind farm work order closure rates, workforce efficiency, and preventative maintenance progress.
- Technical Tracking: Track retrofits, major corrective plans, and spare parts consumption.
- Central Contact: Act as the primary point of communication for Service Technicians, site leads, and management.
- Fleet Standards: Implement industry best practices at the fleet level relating to continuous improvement and work planning.
- Materials Management: Monitor material availability and create demands based on annual maintenance requirements.
- HSE Compliance: Support the implementation of and compliance with corporate health, safety, and environmental policies and systems.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Manage the scope, scheduling, and performance of plant-based contractors to ensure they meet legal and performance standards.
- Financial Tracking: Assist with budget monitoring and the tracking of maintenance costs.
Preferred: BTech or BEng in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Facilities Management (or NQF equivalent).
Technical Experience- Industry Knowledge: Solid experience in plant maintenance and operations, specifically within wind farm systems.
- Equipment: Good technical understanding of major plant equipment, systems, and processes.
- Systems: Specialist proficiency in using ERP or CMMS systems, such as SAP.
- Software: Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
