Seeking an experienced Construction Buyer with 12 years in procurement, specializing in sourcing materials, supplier negotiation and cost control within residential development projects using BuildSmart.

• Source, negotiate and procure construction materials, equipment and services in line with project requirements and budgets.
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance, pricing and delivery timelines.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost effective purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders and inventory documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with demand planning and forecasting.

• Minimum of 12 years' experience as a Buyer within the construction or residential development industry.
• Matric required.
• NQF6 advantageous.
• Experience working with the BuildSmart procurement system.
• Knowledge of BEE policies and procedures will be advantageous.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
