We are seeking two experienced Senior Performance Testers to support multiple strategic projects currently in execution across the organization. These initiatives span areas such as business separation, digitization, generation turnaround, distribution, and commercial transformation.
The successful candidates will form part of the Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE), a centralized testing function within Group IT that provides independent, specialist testing services to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Testing resources will be assigned across multiple projects, playing a critical role in improving delivery timelines, system performance, and overall software quality.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and understand non-functional requirements.
- Define the approach and methodology for non-functional testing.
- Produce detailed Performance Test Plans.
- Design, develop, and maintain load, stress, and performance test cases and procedures.
- Develop and maintain non-functional test scripts.
- Execute performance tests and analyze results.
- Log defects and manage retesting through to closure.
- Maintain the non-functional test script repository.
- Plan, execute, and report on all performance-related testing activities within assigned projects.
- Support broader performance engineering activities as required.
- Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate performance testing tools.
- Set up, configure, and manage the performance testing tool suite.
- Work closely with Technical Architecture, Infrastructure, and Tools teams.
- Support walkthroughs and inspections of load and stress test procedures.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Performance Tester.
- Minimum 5+ years' hands on experience using LoadRunner.
- BTech in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in non-functional testing within complex environments.
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to be based onsite at MWP, Johannesburg.
- Participate in TCoE knowledge sharing sessions.
- Contribute to skills transfer and continuous improvement initiatives within the testing team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross functional teams.
- Strong documentation and reporting capability.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
