The Role: Senior Data Engineer

Intellinexus is expanding its consulting delivery teams and is hiring Senior Data Engineers to design and build modern cloud based data platforms for enterprise clients. This role combines hands on engineering with client facing consulting, working closely with architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to implement scalable data solutions. You will play a key role in data transformation programmes, building high performance data pipelines and modern data warehouses that power advanced analytics and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Platform Development

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL frameworks
• Build and maintain modern data warehouses and lakehouse architectures
• Develop high performance data transformations using Python, SQL, and Spark
• Integrate multiple enterprise data sources into unified data platforms
• Optimise data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Build and manage data platforms on cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, (occasionally GCP)
• Implement data solutions on platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Amazon Redshift

Client Consulting & Delivery

• Work directly with enterprise clients to understand business requirements
• Translate business problems into scalable data solutions
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions
• Support analytics and BI teams by delivering trusted, curated data models

Data Platform Optimisation

• Implement best practices for data modelling, governance, and data quality
• Optimise warehouse performance and cost management
• Support the deployment of analytics, AI, and machine learning workloads

Required Experience Experience

• 5-10 years experience in Data Engineering
• Experience delivering enterprise scale data platforms
• Exposure to consulting environments or client facing roles
• Strong experience working in cloud data ecosystems
