IntroductionArcelorMittal is hiring a Senior Clerk (A1) position based in Vanderbijlpark.
Job key performance areas Administrative Support- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the COO.
- Manage and coordinate the COO's diary, appointments, and meetings.
- Prepare meeting packs, presentations, and reports.
- Screen calls, emails, and correspondence, responding or escalating where appropriate.
- Draft, edit, and format correspondence, reports, and internal documents.
- Maintain accurate filing systems (electronic and manual).
- Ensure proper document control and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of the COO.
- Coordinate meetings, including logistics, venues, and minutes.
- Follow up on action items and deadlines to ensure timely execution.
- Assist with tracking of departmental KPIs, reports, and deliverables.
- Support the COO with ad hoc projects and operational initiatives.
- Monitor office supplies and administrative resources for the executive office.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Assist with audit requirements by maintaining proper documentation.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior administrative or clerical position.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level support to senior executives (EXCO exposure preferred).
- Strong background in document management, reporting, and coordination.
- Exposure to corporate governance frameworks and administrative processes will be advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Effective time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
