We are proudly part of Japan Post - Primary duties & responsibilities Clients indent monitoring. Registration of straight and handover documents. Payment of COD handover documents. Tracking ETA of MBL (Master Bill) with shipping lines / local agents for straight and handover documents. Checking documents for customs clearance request / obtain any documents required. Open Seafreight import clearing file. Record any special instructions on file cover. Hand complete file to customs broking department for customs clearance. Prepare customer tax invoice. Arrange delivery with nominated transporters Scan and save full batch of documents to Server (Document Database). If any damages reported by the depot/transporter, information must be communicated to client. If cargo is damaged / missing, lodge pro-forma claim with airline / agent / insurance company. Obtain all relevant documentation and submit priced claim to airline / agent / insurance company. Ensure delivery is carried out. Obtain warehouse check sheet and POD to close file. Quality check and sign off file once complete. Filing of files. Liaise with clients to keep them informed of shipment status. Reconcile billing and resolve any queries. Resolve credit op queries. Status Reports to be compiled and e-mailed to clients (if required). Technical : Ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises.
