Sales & Factory Manager

Our client within the baking ingredients and FMCG industry is seeking to employ an experienced Sales & Factory Manager for their Cape Town branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Western Cape market for dry baking mixes, speciality bread mixes, and pan oils, while also overseeing basic branch operations, stock control, and staff supervision.

• Minimum 3 years' sales experience within the baking industry
• Previous experience selling bakery ingredients, dry mixes, premixes, pan oils, or related baking products
• Strong external sales and business development experience
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships within the bakery sector
• Experience introducing and growing FMCG food products within the market
• Ability to conduct product demonstrations and customer trials
• Knowledge of stock control, ordering, dispatch, and warehouse operations
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a small branch operation

• Develop and grow the Cape Town market for dry baking products, premixes, speciality bread mixes, and pan oils
• Source and secure new business opportunities within the bakery industry
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing bakery clients
• Achieve monthly sales targets and business development objectives
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and product trials
• Work closely with the test baker regarding product support and demonstrations
• Manage stock control, ordering of raw materials and finished products
• Oversee dispatch and basic warehouse operations
• Supervise branch staff, including the driver and general worker
• Provide excellent customer service and technical product support
