Location: Cape Town

Reports To: Head of Business Development

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the fuel, petroleum, technical engineering, or related industrial sectors, with a strong understanding of technical products and client requirements. Candidates with a background as a Technical Sales Representative or in technical solution-based sales environments will be highly advantageous.

Internal Sales Executive

Overall Responsibility

As an Internal Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the full sales process from lead generation to closing deals. Your contribution will directly impact market expansion, customer satisfaction, and overall business success.

Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Communicate with customers and follow up on leads
  • Answer customer queries and provide product/service information
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Identify sales opportunities and close deals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support
  • Stay informed about products, services, and competitors
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research and identify industry trends
  • Develop strategies to expand the client base
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and promotional material
Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Maintain customer databases and sales records
  • Research and qualify leads
  • Monitor sales pipelines and performance metrics
  • Prepare regular reports for management
  • Analyze sales trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Upsell products and services where appropriate
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing, finance, customer support, and product teams

  • Ensure smooth sales operations and processes

Sales Process Management
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to post-sales support
  • Qualify leads based on budget, timelines, and decision-making authority
External Sales Executive

Overall Responsibility

As an External Sales Executive, you will actively grow the customer base through regular client visits, strategic relationship management, and identifying new business opportunities. This role combines proactive sales generation with account management to ensure customer retention and revenue growth.

Client Relationship Management
  • Conduct client visits and presentations
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Follow up on leads and identify sales opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions
  • Provide excellent after-sales support and customer service

Business Development

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric
