Pre Sales & Project Engineer - DOPSPE

Seeking a self driven Pre-Sales & Project Engineer based at Somerset West office.
This is a technically demanding, commercially aware role sitting at the intersection of engineering design, project delivery and client-facing support.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will conduct client site visits independently, manage project delivery across the Western Cape without day-to-day supervision, and collaborate remotely with engineering and technical leadership in Johannesburg

Qualified Electrician (Red Seal) or relevant electrical/electronic engineering qualification with a demonstrably strong, tech-savvy approach to modern energy systems.
N2 Industrial Electronics and/or Electrical Trade Theory or equivalent.

• Minimum 2-3 years' hands-on experience commissioning solar, BESS, and/or backup energy systems in a C&I environment.
• Demonstrable Victron Energy product experience; Victron certification strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Helioscope or equivalent PV design tools.
• Experience installing power quality and energy loggers; ability to analyse data for system sizing.
• Drawing skills: electrical single-line diagrams and system layouts (CAD or equivalent).
• Sound proposal development skills - BOMs, technical specs, and costings prepared independently.
• Valid South African driver's licence (Code B / Code 8 minimum).
