Lyceum College invites applications from academically strong and professionally experienced individuals to serve as Module Leaders within the Faculty of Commerce. This role is central to the academic integrity, quality and delivery of the modules offered across our Commerce programmes.
Module Leaders oversee the full academic lifecycle of a module, including curriculum oversight, assessment design, teaching, marking, student support, and ongoing module improvement. They ensure that all academic activities align with institutional quality standards and regulatory expectations relevant to private higher education.

Module Leaders are considered internal academic staff of the College, even when appointed as sessional or independent contractors. The role requires strict alignment with institutional quality assurance policies, regulatory standards, and Lyceum's academic governance framework.

- Deliver high quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the assigned module.
- Develop and update engaging, industry relevant learning materials aligned with programme and institutional goals.
- Set, mark, and moderate formative and summative assessments in line with NQF and institutional standards.
- Ensure module delivery and assessment comply with regulatory and institutional quality assurance frameworks.
- Monitor student progress, identify at risk students, and implement academic support interventions.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in curriculum design, review, and enhancement processes.
- Engage in academic governance activities, including quality assurance and programme review committees.
- Collaborate with the Programme Coordinator and faculty teams to drive academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to institutional reporting and compliance requirements.
- Strong subject matter expertise and the ability to integrate theory with practical application.
- Excellent teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills suited to distance and blended learning environments.
- Competence in curriculum development, assessment design, marking, and moderation.
- Clear understanding of higher education regulatory frameworks and quality assurance principles.
- Proficiency with digital learning technologies and online teaching platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and academic writing skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and student engagement abilities.
- Ability to identify and support at risk students.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to academic integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute meaningfully to academic governance structures.
- A Master's degree in a relevant Commerce related field (essential).
- At least two years' experience in teaching, curriculum development, or instructional design in higher education.
- Demonstrable experience developing study guides, assessments, or academic content.
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards, and academic quality assurance frameworks.
- Computer literacy with access to a laptop/desktop and reliable internet connection.
- Ability to meet deadlines and incorporate revisions where required.
- Doctorate in the relevant field or working towards one.
- Experience in distance education institutions.
- Previous work with private higher education institutions.
