Job PurposeTo support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic objectives, including teaching according to a set syllabus; conducting learning and teaching related research and innovation; contributing to curriculum development and design; engaging in work integrated learning and developing service learning activities.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities- Deliver lectures in Visual Communication Design.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the department.
- Participate in quality assurance activities of the department.
- Engage in research activities.
- Integrate community interventions into curriculum and contribute to community initiatives.
- Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies regarding cooperative education, new techniques, technologies, and research projects.
- Assist with marketing and recruitment activities.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Master's Degree in Visual Communication Design or Graphic Design. Candidate must have completed all necessary undergraduate qualifications in the field of study.
- Lecturing experience in higher education.
- At least two (2) years of industry experience in Visual Communication Design.
- Working knowledge of motion graphics, UI/UX design, animation, and three dimensional illustration.
- Proficiency in the full Adobe Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Adobe XD) - subject to a competency test.
- Required to submit a portfolio of evidence and undergo a proficiency test in the use of Adobe software.
