The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the professional growth of their teams. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic professional services environment, where you will design and implement innovative learning strategies that ensure employees are equipped with the right skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the learning and development strategy to align with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate engaging training modules and programs tailored to various career stages within the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify skills gaps and create targeted development initiatives to boost employee performance.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of training programs, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in L&D within the professional services environment (audit, tax, advisory).
  • Manage and leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies to deliver effective solutions.
Requirements
  • South African citizenship.
  • Proven experience in leading or managing learning and development functions.
  • Prior managerial experience in L&D is preferred, but ambitious and high-potential L&D coordinators will also be considered.
  • A relevant degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA(SA) or similar would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with SAICA Trainee Development is essential.
  • Exposure to CIMA and ACCA training programs would be beneficial.
