Responsibilities Investor Engagement & Network Coordination
  • Support the onboarding of new investors to the DCA network and AfricArise programs
  • Maintain and update investor CRM/contact lists, ensuring quality segmentation and tagging
  • Coordinate investor communications including newsletters, dealflow sharing, and roundtables
  • Organize and facilitate B2B investor-startup matchmaking activities
Community Management
  • Manage communications and updates to the DCA investor WhatsApp and LinkedIn groups
  • Coordinate ecosystem updates, investment opportunity alerts, and internal reports
  • Monitor engagement and provide periodic feedback on community activity
Support Event Execution
  • Support investor-related sessions and networking events during AfricArena Summits and Bootcamps
  • Prepare investor and startup briefings for physical and virtual events
  • Liaise with communications team for promotional assets and event content
  • Actively promote DCA and AfricArena programs, events, and partnership opportunities to relevant investors and ecosystem stakeholders
  • Support investor focused lead generation and conversion activities, including outreach, follow-ups, and onboarding
  • Collaborate with the marketing and partnerships team to improve program visibility and optimize outreach funnels for investors
Ecosystem Research & Data Analysis
  • Support the development of AfricArena's ecosystem reports, benchmarks, and trend papers
  • Conduct research on sectors (e.g., fintech, climate tech, edtech), markets, and policy frameworks
  • Assist in gathering and organizing data from interviews, surveys, and secondary sources
Requirements Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Economics, International Relations, Entrepreneurship, or related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in ecosystem building, investment, startups, or innovation spaces
  • Comfortable presenting program benefits and value to diverse stakeholders (founders, investors, partners)
  • Ability to identify and act on opportunities to grow program participation and partner engagement
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (French is a plus)
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Proactive and resourceful-able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with digital tools like Google Workspace (Google Sheets/Excel is a must), Canva, Wix (and WIX CRM system)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and inspire action
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a track record (or potential) of converting leads into participants, clients, or users
