HR Business Partner (Patient Support)

Montu UK

Job Description

What is the job?

We're scaling fast, doing things differently, and we're looking for a HR Business Partner who thrives on the creativity, variety, and occasional chaos that comes with startup life.

This is a hands-on, people-first role where you'll partner closely with our rapidly growing Patient Experience function, supporting managers and teams through a period of significant growth and transformation. You'll play a key role in shaping the employee experience, building management capability, and helping teams perform at their best in a fast-paced operational environment.

From employee relations and performance support to coaching managers and driving people initiatives, you'll be right at the heart of the action and a trusted partner to the business.

This role works closely with our UK-based teams and stakeholders, operating onsite with our South African partner, Minpearl, whilst working in alignment with UK business hours.

What will you be doing?
  • Partner closely with Team Leads and Managers across the Patient Experience team to provide day-to-day HR support and guidance
  • Act as a trusted advisor on people matters including performance management, wellbeing, absence, conduct and employee relations
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from induction and probation through to progression and offboarding
  • Coach and support managers to lead confidently, effectively and in line with company culture and values
  • Work closely with recruitment and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all new starters
  • Support and lead on employee relations matters including investigations, performance concerns, welfare discussions and probation reviews
  • Collaborate with the Head of People & Talent on key people initiatives, process improvements and wider People projects
  • Help embed and improve key people processes such as engagement surveys, performance check-ins, recognition initiatives and manager development
  • Use data, trends and employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively solve problems
  • Support policy implementation and provide practical HR guidance in line with UK employment law and best practice
  • Build strong relationships across operational teams and become a trusted and visible People partner within the business
  • Support change, growth and organisational development as the business continues to scale rapidly
What do you need?
  • Strong HR generalist or HRBP experience within a fast-paced, high-growth or operational environment
  • Experience supporting large frontline or customer-focused teams is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities evolve
  • Confidence handling employee relations matters with a calm, fair and pragmatic approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support managers at different levels
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable working remotely whilst collaborating closely with UK-based teams
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience using HR systems such as HiBob is advantageous but not required
What we offer:
  • Medical insurance through KaeloHealth.
  • Paid maternity leave for female employees (3 % salary) with an option to take a 4th month which would be unpaid but with the ability to claim from the unemployment insurance fund.
  • Annual leave of 20 days plus one additional day per year up to 25 days.
  • Provident Fund with Momentum-employee contribution of minimum 6% per month.
