# Conveyancing Paralegal Job Category: Job Type: Job Location: ABOUT THIS ROLE A well-established legal firm, based in Pietermaritzburg is looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team.This role requires a skilled professional with strong conveyancing experience who is able to manage a variety of bond registration and property transfer transactions while working closely with attorneys, banks, and clients.The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple conveyancing processes simultaneously while ensuring compliance with deeds office procedures and banking requirements. WHAT YOU WILL DO Conveyancing Administration Receive and manage instructions from banks for the registration of mortgage bonds Prepare transfer documents, bond documents, and related conveyancing documentation independently Compile and amend documents for lodgement and registration at the Deeds Office Manage the Deeds Office process and banking procedures to ensure successful transaction registrations Client & Stakeholder Liaison Liaise with clients, banks, attorneys, municipalities, SARS, and managing agents Communicate updates and coordinate information required for transactions Maintain professional relationships with all parties involved in the conveyancing process Financial Administration Attend to all financial aspects of conveyancing transactions Prepare and process final accounts Prepare debit notes, credit notes, and resolve accounting queries Manage the collection of costs from clients WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Matric / National Diploma or equivalent qualification 5-10 years' experience as a Bond & Transfer Conveyancing Paralegal Strong knowledge of the full conveyancing process including bond registrations and transfers Experience working with major banks, particularly Standard Bank or SAHL bonds Proficiency in Lexis Convey, E4, Stordoc, and Windeed Strong understanding of Deeds Office procedures and compliance requirements Excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and handle pressure effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good command of the English language and computer literacy (including Excel) If you are an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal looking to join a reputable legal firm and play a key role in managing property transactions, we would love to hear from you.
