Job Description

Sanlam Developing Markets SDM (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited) is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry level and emerging middle market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans. In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focuses on retail products, as well as group schemes.

What will you do?
  1. On boarding and administration of advisor/SAI's and new broker contracts
    • Conduct required checks for all new appointments, including Agent, DOFA, FSB, MIE and fingerprint checks.
    • Prepare and upload all relevant documentation (e.g., rep packs, employment contracts, performance contracts, supervision forms) and personal details for all new sales managers, BDs and advisors and keep them up to date.
    • Ensure all branch training registers are updated and filed monthly.
    • Complete adviser and manager termination forms accurately and submit them to the Branch Manager for approval.
    • Assist with uploading all performance management documents.
    • Complete adviser and manager's On Boarding Recruitment (Rep Packs) forms accurately.
  2. Policy Servicing
    • Ensure client amendments are submitted and processed in a timely manner and follow up for completion.
    • Assist branches and advisors with client related queries including telephonic queries, walk ins and claims escalations.
    • Address policy information requests within the agreed SLA.
    • Engage clients to inform them about their policies on the lapse pending.
  3. Retentions Reporting
    • Pull and analyse all required monthly and weekly reports and distribute them to management and brokers where required.
    • Perform manual lodgements and submissions.
    • Maintain the Quarterly Rank Movement Spreadsheet (updated every month with cases, NTU and persistency).
    • Print and analyse the Rep Report from the system to check for discrepancies.
  4. Ad hoc administrative support
    • Support advisors, sales managers and branch managers with all required technological support, including system application/access and resolving any technological errors or queries.
    • Support advisors with all required training requirements, including Moodle support and the planning, organisation and execution of training meetings or events.
    • Ensure advisors receive commission statements, payslips (when requested) and resolve any other commission or pay related issues.
    • Prepare the required data for advanced commission payments/loans.
    • Manage the resolution of any facility related issues.
    • Assist with training of external system users and access.
    • Assist with stock management, toner orders and stationery and update company asset registers.
    • Support the completion of any branch related legislative requirements, including OHS surveys and Department of Labour branch visits.
  5. Digital sales device management
    • Assist with the order, allocation and distribution of devices.
    • Administer device management, including stolen/lost devices and forensics reporting.
    • Troubleshoot and report on damaged devices.
    • Manage V track asset management.
    • Manage the team central file of asset allocation and returns.
    • Ensure training and upskilling of new advisers on the I Manage application and process.
    • Provide monthly support and guidance on new dashboards for sales managers/branch managers.
    • Monitor new business application flows.
    • Report weekly common errors to sales managers.
What will make you successful in this role? QUALIFICATIONS
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Diploma or degree in a related field will be advantageous.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • In depth understanding of industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of products and services (advantageous).
  • Customer engagement principles.
Experience
  • 2-3 years experience in an administrative capacity in an operational environment.
  • Experience in the insurance industry would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated client engagement experience.
  • Experience working on office management or task management systems (MS Outlook / Teams / Jira / etc.).
Qualification and Experience

Grade 12 with 1 to 2 years related experience.
