Administrator (School-Based Role)

The ADvTECH Schools Division is a leader in private education in South Africa, committed to developing future-focused, high-performing schools. We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Administrator to support the efficient running of a brand-new school, opening in 2027, while contributing to our people practices and brand presence.

This is a multifaceted role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across administration, HR, and marketing functions.

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Manage front office operations, including reception and switchboard
  • Maintain accurate learner records, applications, and admissions data
  • Support the enrolment process from enquiry to registration
  • Provide general administrative support to school management
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings, and appointments
  • Assist with examination administration processes
  • Prepare and format school documentation, reports, and communication
  • Maintain filing systems (digital and manual)
HR Support
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administration (staff records, onboarding documentation, leave tracking)
  • Support recruitment processes (scheduling interviews, candidate communication)
  • Support hire-to-retire processes
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and confidentiality standards
  • Assist with staff onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
Marketing & Communications
  • Support the implementation of school marketing initiatives
  • Assist with social media content creation and updates
  • Coordinate and compile the school newsletter
  • Liaise with the central marketing team where required
  • Support the promotion of the school through events, open days, and campaigns
  • Ensure consistent and professional school branding in all communication
Events & School Engagement
  • Assist in planning and coordinating school events and functions
  • Support internal and external stakeholder engagement activities
Systems & Reporting
  • Support the use and administration of the Student Information System
  • Assist with report administration and data accuracy

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum: Matric (or equivalent)
  • Relevant administrative or secretarial qualification (advantageous)
  • At least 2 years' experience in an administrative role (school environment preferred)
  • Experience with HR administration and/or marketing support would be highly advantageous
  • Experience working with a Student Information System is beneficial
