JOB TITLE Adjunct Faculty - International and Global Studies LOCATION Worcester DEPARTMENT NAME Humanities & Arts - JM DIVISION NAME Worcester Polytechnic Institute - WPI JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Part-time adjunct faculty pool in International and Global Studies to fill opportunities on a course-by-course basis as need arises . JOB DESCRIPTION The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach International and Global Studies (INTL) courses. INTL faculty teach introductory courses, thematic and area topic seminars, and global methods classes to educate well-rounded, globally aware students with exceptional analytical skills and sensitivity to culture and context. Complementing our off-campus project centers, we especially seek candidates with area expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, Southern and Western African, East Asia, South Asia, Oceania, Europe, or the US and the World.We are looking for outstanding scholars involved in critical, interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to INTL. Applicants should address explicitly how global perspectives are deployed and/or local-global dimensions featured in their teaching. A successful candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline in the humanities.Submitting an application through this part-time posting will place you in an applicant pool to fill INTL adjunct faculty positions on an as needed basis. Specific topics and start dates will vary over the academic year.Qualified applicants from this applicant pool will be contacted as opportunities arise.
