Actuarial Pricing Specialist Based in either Tygervalley or Sandton

What will you do?The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a leading role in providing pricing support of retail products for businesses in SanlamAllianz Life. The role will cover pricing across both affluent and entry level / mass market products and will include the full spectrum of risk, retirement and investment products. Projects range from revamping existing products through repricing or adding new features to developing new products that are often first in the market.
Responsibilities- Pricing - Determining appropriate pricing basis and performing the pricing calculations in Prophet.
- Influence strategy - identify the unique risks and opportunities for each product and through pricing results empower businesses in SanlamAllianz to drive specific distribution, marketing and risk management strategies.
- Documentation - Writing pricing reports clearly documenting the pricing process, assumptions and results.
- Drive pricing approvals - Engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including the Head of Actuarial function, to ensure an efficient approval process.
- Model handover - Supporting the Actuarial valuations and Prophet model development teams with the model implementation of new products.
- Process - Developing pricing and review tools to improve the processes of the SanlamAllianz Product Support team to promote efficient product development practices.
- On an ad-hoc basis support technical development of group risk products as well as client insights projects.

- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (maximum 2 exams outstanding).
- Product development and/or pricing experience preferable.
- Prophet experience is essential.
