ROLE OVERVIEWWe are looking for a part time Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper to support the day to day financial operations across our Bristol and Gloucester centres. This role focuses on accurate, timely processing of financial data, ensuring that all transactions, invoices, and records are maintained correctly within Xero. It is a process driven role, ideal for someone experienced with Xero who can work efficiently, maintain consistency, and take ownership of routine financial administration. This is not a strategic finance role, but a hands on position focused on bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Raise and send customer invoices promptly and accurately
- Monitor outstanding invoices and support credit control
- Respond to queries via the accounts inbox
- Reconcile all bank transactions within Xero
- Assign income and expenditure to the correct customer / supplier accounts
- Maintain clean, accurate, and up to date financial records
- Process supplier invoices and maintain purchase records
- Schedule and complete supplier payments
- Ensure all costs are correctly allocated
- Support processing of wages (or liaise with payroll provider)
- Manage staff expenses and company card transactions
- Ensure all entries are recorded accurately in Xero
- Prepare and submit VAT returns (or prepare for accountant review)
- Maintain records in line with HMRC requirements
- Ensure all documentation is complete and audit ready
Internal systems for job tracking and invoicing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR- Experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration

- Organised and process driven approach
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Clear and professional written communication
- Part time role (typically 15-25 hours per week depending on workload)
- Flexible working, with responsibility for maintaining deadlines
- Remote or hybrid working possible
- All transactions reconciled accurately and on time
- Clean, organised Xero account with no backlog
