Waiter/Waitress

As a Café Waiter, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant environment and help maintain the smooth operation of the café.

• Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen or Barista.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Answer customer questions about the menu, including food ingredients, and offer recommendations.
• Ensure that tables are clean and ready for guests by setting them up for new customers.
• Clear and clean tables once customers have finished their meals.
• Assist in restocking inventory such as napkins, utensils and condiments.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers.
• To remain up to date with procedures and policies.
• All staff to be courteous to colleagues and provide a welcoming environment to customers.

Matric

• Previous experience in a Similar role (Waitressing or food service) a must
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, polite and customer focused attitude.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
