Vice President, Renewable Refining Singapore

Location: Singapore, SG Country/Region: SG Business Unit: RP, Refining Job Area: General Management

We are looking for a Vice President to lead the Singapore Renewable Refining team at Neste Singapore Tuas Refinery. The role focuses on leading the expanded and complex Singapore Renewables Refinery to deliver safe, reliable, and profitable operations, while maintaining full compliance with global and local regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead refinery operations to ensure safe, reliable, and profitable performance.
  • Lead the site leadership team and broader organization to foster an inclusive, high engagement culture that drives talent development, succession planning, and upskilling in renewable technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in refinery profitability, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Lead and improve asset utilization and reliability to consistently elevate refinery performance and deliver a positive impact on the bottom line.
  • Oversee the refinery's P&L and cost efficiency initiatives, leveraging rigorous performance management and clear KPIs to meet financial and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary ambassador for the refinery, managing relationships with local authorities, auditors, contractors, and industrial partners.
Key requirements to success in this role
  • Masters / Bachelor Degree in an appropriate engineering field, from an accredited college/university.
  • More than 15 years of relevant experience in oil refinery, petrochemicals, or chemical processing, with a minimum of 10 years in mid or senior level management.
  • Hands on senior leadership experience from processing oils and fats to renewable fuels, with a deep technical grasp of the specific success factors and challenges inherent in this technology.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing a high performing leadership team and multidisciplinary local production organization.
  • Proven track record of building site wide refining capabilities, safety, excellence, and driving performance management, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining full operational transparency with management through timely escalations, progress updates, and consistent information sharing.
