Our client, a well-regarded and community-focused small animal practice, is seeking a confident and compassionate Veterinarian to take on a rewarding sole-charge role. This position is ideally suited to a veterinarian with 3-5 years of clinical experience who thrives in an environment where independence, sound judgement, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Although experience is preferred, the practice remains open to exceptional new graduate applicants who demonstrate maturity, eagerness to learn, and the ability to build trust with both clients and colleagues.

The outgoing veterinarian is relocating to be closer to home and is happy to provide a testimonial, offering insight into the supportive environment and high standard of care upheld by the practice.

Description
  • Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets.
  • Assess, examine, and diagnose patients' medical issues.
  • Perform surgery, dress, and treat wounds.
  • Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
  • Prescribe medication.
  • Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
  • Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets.
  • Euthanise patients if and when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • BVSc Degree
  • SAVC Registration
  • Updated CPD Points
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Dedication to continuing education and professional growth.
  • A love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
