Immersive Technologies, the global leader in mining equipment simulation and blended learning solutions with 30 years of mining industry experience in developing customer workforces, is seeking an experienced training manager to lead our team of embedded trainers to deliver a positive customer experience and visible customer value.

This role in our South African office is responsible to provide direction and support to all embedded training staff to drive consistency in standards of service throughout the regional customer mine sites and training centres.

As the ideal candidate, you will bring a learning and development and mine operational background, along with strong interpersonal and people management skills.

Reporting to the Regional Services Manager and working closely with our regional team, your ability to manage a project to contractual terms and the ability to think strategically about business and technology will be crucial to your success.

Key Requirements of the role
  • Demonstrated safety mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to research and evaluate training needs
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coach staff to develop and apply knowledge and skill in a range of areas
  • Proven experience in identifying capability gaps and developing training plans
  • Sound skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver instructional presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to administrate, maintain and audit human resources systems and mining contractors' packs
  • Proven sales experience of training programs in the Mining Industry
About You
  • Managed or lead teams in a service-related business
  • Excellent internal and external Communication skills
  • Compiled accurate reports - analysed data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Experience with providing strategic, consultative services in a professional services environment.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with results-oriented approach
  • 3 years' experience in training in a mining environment or Mining Equipment Operations.
  • Multilingual preferred, English Required
  • Degree Qualified and certificate in Training and Assessment or equivalent on the job experience
  • This role requires the flexibility to regularly travel to customer sites (domestic and International) up to 50% of the time
  • Strong pre-sales attributes
  • Knowledge of IMMT simulators and training programs would be an advantage
