An excellent opportunity is available for a Trainee Field Technician to join a dynamic environment within the construction and mining technology sector. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual looking to gain hands-on experience in product implementation, support, and maintenance of advanced solutions on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of products and solutions on customer sites
- Support testing, validation, and successful sign-off of installations
- Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of technical equipment
- Provide on-site and telephonic support to customers
- Assist in diagnosing technical issues and applying solutions
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Support customer training on implemented systems
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Millwright Qualification (NQF 4 - Trade School)
- Minimum 1 year experience in product implementation and/or field service/support within the geospatial or similar industry
- Basic understanding of technical equipment and troubleshooting (yellow machines)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
- Willing to use own vehicle for business travel when required
- Willing and able to travel extensively across Africa and be away from home regularly
- Physically fit and able to meet health and safety requirements
Advantageous:
- Experience in the geospatial industry
- Exposure to advanced technical solutions within similar environments
