Job OverviewThe company is looking for a Junior Tool, Jig & Die Maker / CNC Programmer - Part Setter to join their team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate, SolTech candidate, apprentice, or someone with around 1 year of hands-on CNC experience who is eager to grow their skills in a precision engineering environment.
The successful candidate will assist with CNC programming, machine setup, and toolmaking activities, working closely with senior programmers and machinists.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with CNC programming using Fusion 360 and/or Mastercam
- Set up and assist in running CNC milling and turning machines
- Manufacture and assist in the development of tools, jigs, and dies
- Work from 3D models, CAD files, and engineering drawings
- Assist with machining of small, high-precision components
- Conduct basic quality checks using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometres, gauges)
- Support senior team members with tooling, setups, and process improvements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
- Fusion 360 and/or Mastercam experience is essential
- Basic understanding of CNC milling and turning principles
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong interest in tool, jig, and die making
- Qualification or current studies in Toolmaking, CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- SolTech graduates strongly preferred
- Candidates with 1 year experience, in-training artisans, or those seeking an apprenticeship will be considered
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
