Description The opportunity

Join us as a Tender & Service Specialist, play a key role in managing the complete lifecycle of service-related projects. This role connects sales and operations-identifying and bidding for engineering service contracts (quotations/tenders) and, once secured, taking the lead to ensure smooth technical execution, resource scheduling, and financial closure of each service order.

How you'll make an impact
  • Quotations & Tender Management (Pre-Award)

    • Sales team interface: Support the Service Sales team with presales preparation.

    • Technical Scoping: Review RFQs/RFPs to define SoW, technical specs, and resource needs.

    • Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for labour, parts, subcontractors, and travel.

    • Bid Compilation: Compile the complete tender pack, ensuring full compliance with B BBEE, Tax Clearance, COID, and all required technical returnable

    • Vendor Liaison: Source and compare supplier quotes for specialized components.

  • Service Coordination & Execution (Post-Award)

    • Project Kick-off: Convert approved quotes into Service Orders/Job Cards in the ERP system.

    • Resource Scheduling: Coordinate with the Service Operations Manager to dispatch and schedule field service technicians or engineers to client sites, ensuring they are equipped with the appropriate tools and PPE

    • Logistics Management: Monitor procurement and delivery timelines to ensure all required parts are available with zero downtime on site.

    • Compliance Oversight: Ensure safety files and fitness certificates meet OHS requirements.

    • Client Management: Serve as the primary client contact for updates and variations.

  • Financial & Administrative Closure

    • WIP Tracking: Track Work in Progress to ensure service execution aligns with the quoted margins.

    • Invoicing: Facilitate sign off of Job Cards/Timesheets and initiate final invoicing after successful commissioning or handover.

    • Reporting: Maintain a Win/Loss tender register and prepare Execution Efficiency reports for the Service Unit.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, HSE, and quality standards.

  • Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and disciplined approach to deliver accurate results.

Your background
  • A bachelor's degree in in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years' experience in an engineering services environment, including proven expertise in bid and tender compilation.

  • Technical ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics and compile accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQs).

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, with working knowledge of MS Project and ERP systems (such as SAP Ariba).

  • Familiarity with PPPFA regulations (80/20 and 90/10) and South African B BBEE codes.

  • Strong deadline management under pressure, with the ability to shift effectively between sales-focused and logistics-focused tasks.

  • Willingness to travel across assigned countries as needed.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
