MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

This is a three-year programme leading to registration as a registered general nurse.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

This programme leads to registration in the category General Nurse (GN R.171 of 8 March 2013). The Registered General Nurse with the qualification Diploma in Nursing will have the necessary knowledge and skills to render nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions in a variety of healthcare settings and manage a nursing unit.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Applicants must meet the educational requirements for a Diploma in Nursing as outlined in the programme prospectus. Preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, and internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
