Storeman

A leader in the plastics game in Germiston, is on the hunt for a Storeman with warehousing experience.

Here's what we're looking for:

• Grade 12; a warehousing qualification will be a bonus
• At least 2 - 4 years' experience in store or parts department in a plastics or manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate a forklift with at least 1 year's experience
• Physically fit with the ability to carry component weighing at least 20kg by hand
• Be willing to work overtime
• Solid communication skills
• Computer literacy skills, ideally having worked on the JD Edwards ERP system
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work methodically

• Manage and keep accurate records of all parts or goods in the stores department
• Maintain the correct stock levels of parts or goods
• Conduct regular stock checks and report on stock levels to the Maintenance Manager
• Ensure materials, parts or goods are available for upcoming projects
• Unpack and check parts or goods received
• Develop a relationship with suppliers and source the best price for parts, materials or goods
• If the quality of the parts, materials or goods are poor or below the standard, report this to the supplier and arrange for collection or replacement
• Ensure working area is kept clean in line with normal conduct
• Ensure all unsafe acts and conditions are reported to the direct reporting manager
• Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Apply all Company policies and procedures in so far as it relates to employment conditions

Salary:

Basic salary of R10000 - R15000 PM, Additional benefits include a 50% medical aid benefit
