Job Description

Position: Stage & Production Manager

As the Stage & Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of stage and production operations, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the creative team to develop and implement innovative and engaging stage shows and events that appeal to a diverse audience
  • Overseeing the technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, and special effects
  • Managing and coordinating a team of technicians, performers, and crew members to ensure smooth and efficient production processes
  • Conducting regular rehearsals and providing direction and feedback to performers and crew members
  • Ensuring all productions meet safety standards and regulations
  • Managing budgets and timelines for each production, and finding ways to optimize resources and reduce costs
  • Communicating with various departments on the ship to coordinate schedules and logistics for productions
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies and equipment as needed
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the quality of productions

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in stage and production management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. They should also possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in theater, production, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of technical aspects of stage productions, including lighting, sound, and special effects
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience working in the cruise industry is a plus, but not required
