Drive the architecture, scalability, and performance of SonyLIV's Web Platform, ensuring a seamless, high-quality user experience across devices. The role will focus on building robust frontend systems, enabling engineering excellence, and supporting business growth through reliable and scalable web solutions.

Education
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience
  • 8-12 years of experience in frontend/web development
  • Strong experience in building large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
  • Experience in OTT / media / streaming platforms
  • Exposure to Smart TV / multi-device ecosystems
  • Experience with performance optimization, SEO, and analytics integration
  • Familiarity with backend-for-frontend (BFF) or full-stack capabilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the frontend architecture for SonyLIV's web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Build and optimize high-performance, responsive web applications for large user bases
  • Lead design and implementation of reusable components, frameworks, and libraries
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into high-quality user experiences
  • Drive performance optimization (load time, rendering, SEO, Core Web Vitals)
  • Ensure code quality, testing standards, and best practices across the team
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to capability building within the frontend team
  • Work closely with backend teams to define APIs and integration patterns
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities
  • Support release planning, debugging, and production issue resolution
  • Proficiency in frameworks like React / Next.js / Angular
  • Deep understanding of web performance, caching, and optimization techniques
  • Experience with API integrations, micro-frontend architecture
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and testing frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Stakeholder collaboration and communication
  • Ownership mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to mentor and guide teams
