Role SummaryRight now, our sportsbook exists. But nobody really owns it.
It is there, but it feels like an afterthought. The promotions are weak. The experience is disconnected from the rest of the brand. Nobody is treating it like their baby.
We want to change that.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our sportsbook end-to-end and turn it into something people actually want to use. Someone who understands betting, knows how to drive volume, knows what bettors care about, and can make a sportsbook feel like part of Bitfortune rather than a random tab on the site.
You should be the kind of person who:
- knows which sports, events, and markets actually drive activity
- understands what gets bettors to come back
- can spot weak promotions, dead periods, and missed opportunities instantly
- knows how to make sportsbook feel exciting, relevant, and connected to the wider brand
- can build a proper sportsbook operation without needing a huge team
- Own the sportsbook operation end-to-end.
- Build and drive the sportsbook roadmap.
- Decide which sports, leagues, events, and markets should be prioritised.
- Own the sportsbook calendar around major events, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and betting moments.
- Work with providers and feeds to improve the sportsbook offering.
- Create and launch:
- bet boosts
- free bets
- reloads
- leaderboards
- predictor games
- seasonal promotions
- event-based campaigns
- Work with CRM, casino, VIP, and marketing to create a connected experience between sportsbook and casino.
- Help turn casino players into sportsbook bettors, and sportsbook bettors into casino players.
- Work with the CMO and affiliate / creator teams to identify which sports audiences and communities are worth targeting.
- Build a more recognisable sportsbook identity that fits the wider Bitfortune brand: edgy, crypto-native, creator-led, and "degen".
- Analyse sportsbook performance, betting behaviour, retention, deposits, event performance, and player value.
- Identify what is working, what is not, and what should happen next.
- You have managed or owned a sportsbook product, operation, or promotions function before.
- You understand sports betting, player behaviour, promotions, and retention.
- You know how to create activity around major sporting events and turn them into revenue.
- You understand sportsbook KPIs and commercial performance.
- You have experience with:
- betting markets
- odds providers
- event calendars
- promotions
- CRM
- retention
- cross-sell
- You are hands on enough to help build campaigns and shape the product, but senior enough to own the strategy.
- You are comfortable working in a startup environment without a huge team.
- Experience in crypto sportsbook or iGaming is ideal, but we are open to strong sportsbook operators from traditional betting if they move fast and understand the kind of brand we are building.
