Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Transport Controller to coordinate deliveries, manage drivers, optimise routes, ensure compliance, and maintain efficient transport operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan routes, schedules, and dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries
- Monitor vehicles, track shipments, and manage delays or breakdowns
- Manage drivers, brief teams, and enforce operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, and company policies
- Coordinate fleet maintenance, inspections, and fuel management
- 3-year qualification in Logistics, Transport, or similar
- Minimum 2 years' experience in transport or logistics
- Knowledge of route planning, fleet management, and TMS
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage teams
- Route planning and fleet optimisation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Attention to detail and time management
- Team leadership and operational control
