Senior Security Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Security Manager to lead and oversee all security operations within the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple sites, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, driving operational excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a hands on leader with a proven track record in the security industry.
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid PSIRA registration (Grade A preferred)
- Valid driver's license (essential)
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in a senior management role within the security industry
- Proven experience managing multiple sites and large teams
- Strong knowledge of security legislation and operational procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office, reporting systems)
- Oversee and manage all security operations across multiple sites
- Lead, mentor, and manage Security Managers, Supervisors, and Officers
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with PSIRA regulations and company standards
- Manage client relationships and ensure service delivery excellence
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and resolution
- Manage budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff
- Ensure proper scheduling, rostering, and operational planning
- Maintain high levels of discipline, professionalism, and staff morale
- Strategic thinking and leadership
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high risk situations
- Excellent client service and relationship management
- Attention to detail and accountability
