Senior Mining Consultant - Operations - Deswik.OPS

If you've worked underground in a mine and want to try something different, this could be the job for you.

You'll help mine sites get the most out of Deswik's operational shift planning software by training their teams and providing support. Sometimes you'll do this remotely from the office, and sometimes you'll be on site working with crews in person. Expect frequent travel, mainly to mine sites across South Africa and other nearby countries, but sometimes further to support Deswik teams worldwide.

• Work on a shift roster that changes depending on the project
• Build relationships with mine site teams
• Teach customers how to use Deswik.OPS software
• Set up the software to fit customer needs
• Find and report software issues to help improve our products

• Work from our Johannesburg office
• Have a Monday to Friday schedule
• Plan future projects
• Provide remote support for existing Deswik.OPS customers
• Test software and give feedback to our development team
• Help improve Deswik's internal processes

You might be a Mine Controller or Mine Planning Engineer who's good with complex software.

• Deswik.OPS or similar shift operating mine planning software experience
• Underground mining experience
• Blasting ticket
• Great communication skills
• Experience training others to use software
