Sebenzana APP is a specialist engineering and assetperformance firm supporting owners and operators of high-value energy assetsacross Africa and internationally. We're looking for an experienced SeniorEngineer to join our Specialised Services team - a group of technical leadersdedicated to solving complex engineering challenges and delivering long-termasset value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities 1. Project Development & Feasibility Studies
  • Lead feasibility and concept development studiesfor new and existing plants.
  • Conduct technical and financial analyses,scenario modelling and cost estimation.
  • Develop user requirement and technicalspecifications for greenfield and brownfield projects.
2. Technical Leadership & Design Execution
  • Lead detailed design, specification andcommissioning activities.
  • Perform complexthermalengineeringcalculations, modelling and analysis of high-pressure systems, turbines andboilers.
  • Review and approve technical documentation,ensuring alignment with codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Perform Fitness for Service (FFS) and RemainingLife Assessments.
  • Perform Pipe-stress Analysis.
  • Deliver Owner's Engineer and Lender's Engineerservices for clients.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and lifetimeassessments for asset optimisation.
3. Project Management
  • Manage projects through all stages - from scopeand planning to delivery and closeout.
  • Act as primary technical interface with clients,ensuring quality, cost and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, includingthe drawing office and external contractors.
  • Mentor junior engineers and graduates,supporting technical growth and professional registration.
  • Foster knowledge transfer and a culture ofcontinuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Serve as deputy to the Business Unit Lead whenrequired.
5. Commercial & Business Support
  • Provide technical input into tenders andbusiness development initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expandSebenzana's engineering and performance services portfolio.'
  • Uphold Sebenzana's values of integrity,excellence and collaboration in all interactions.
Requirements
  • BEng/ BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Pr.Eng with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) -advantageous
  • 10+yearsin the power generation with proven project leadership experience.
  • Mechanicalsystems, high-energy equipment, design and analysis, process optimisationand engineering standards (ASME, API, ISO)
  • Highattention to detail, strong analytical thinking, proactive mindset,excellent communication and mentoring ability
